History
Early years
EuroLOT was founded 19 December 1996 years and began regular air travel 1 july 1997 of the year. Initially, EuroLOT operated as an air carrier with its own network of connections. At the time, the EuroLOT fleet consisted of turboprop aircraft: 5 ATR 42-300 and 8 ATR 72-202, rented from LOT together with the crew. Since 1998 by 2000 EuroLOT also operated two 18-seat BAe Jetstream aircraft 31 . The main mission of EuroLOT was to reconstruct the domestic and regional network while reducing operating costs and creating new value in the field of domestic air transport..
IN 2000 year the company ceased to be an independent carrier and became an operator. In the same year, EuroLOT acquired all ATR aircraft from LOT. IN 2002 EuroLOT started modernizing its fleet, replacing ATR 42-300 to a newer ATR 42-500 . As of March 2007 years it worked 278 man.
Later development
Founded as 100% subsidiary of LOT Polish Airlines , at present, its main shareholder is the State Treasury with 62,1% shares, and Towarzystwo Finansowe Silesia is a minority shareholder with 37,9% shares. During the summer season 2011 of the year, after the State Treasury acquired most of its shares, the airline began to operate flights on Polish regional routes under the brand eurolot.com in addition to operating LOT flights. From December 2011 of the year, Eurolot introduces flights from Gdansk and Warsaw to Poprad, Slovakia, in addition to the rapid expansion of the domestic market.
IN 2012 Eurolot placed an order for 8 turboprop aircraft Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 NextGen to replace the old ATR fleet. IN 2014 Eurolot was considering a Boeing LOT serviced lease 787 Dreamliner to serve flights to Southeast Asia as part of a larger LOT restructuring. However, this plan did not come true..
6 february 2015 the year was announced, that the company will be liquidated due to financial problems and the termination of operations 31 Martha 2015 of the year. LOT Polish Airlines took over some of the Eurolot routes, leasing former Eurolot aircraft.
