The largest costs per inhabitant are expected in the Autonomous Community of Castile-Leon (average 99,88 euros), followed by Asturias (93,79 euros) and La Rioja (92,58 euros). The least amount of tickets sold will be in the cities of Melilla (12,84 euro per person) and Ceuta (13,97 euros)
Spaniards are not the only ones taking part in the Christmas lottery, residents of neighboring countries are also actively buying tickets for El Gordo. According to research conducted by ventura24, the largest share of foreigners among users of the service are German citizens, France and Mexico. On average, they spend significantly more Spaniards on participating in the Christmas lottery: Mexico 117 euros, Switzerland 116,8 euros, Germany 54 euros, France 53,13 euros. Germany and France are leading in terms of total turnover.
