How My Million Works

A My Million code is automatically generated for every line of EuroMillions numbers purchased. There is no extra cost to enter the game.

Shortly after the main EuroMillions draw, one unique My Million code will be selected at random from all of the codes purchased for that particular draw. From time to time, special editions of My Million are held in which multiple prizes of €1 million are given away.

The odds of winning a My Million prize will vary from draw to draw as they are dependent on the number of EuroMillions tickets purchased, rather than correctly matching the numbers drawn in the main EuroMillions game.

As more and more people are becoming wise to lottery scams, fraudsters are getting increasingly creative. Here are just some examples of lottery scams you may receive:

Second Chance Lottery/Raffle

Usually based around a rollover draw, the scammer will claim you have won a prize in a ‘second chance’ EuroMillions draw. EuroMillions does not hold such ‘second chance’ draws. Unclaimed prizes are always either returned to the prize pool to pay winners in future draws or transferred to the good causes supported by the lottery.

Lottery Winner Trusts

Some scammers are using the names of known charitable lottery winners to try and extract personal information from the intended victim by claiming that the legitimate jackpot winner is looking to donate funds to people who are less fortunate or in need.

Anti Terrorism Agency

The victim receives a letter telling them there is a cheque waiting to be sent to them as soon as they pay a fee to an agency that ensures international money transfers over a certain value do not contain funds associated with terrorism.

The Low-High Patterns Based On The Actual EuroMillions Results

Here’s another probability study using the low-high pattern.

We derive the low-high patterns using the following sets:

Low = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,…,25}

High = {26,27,28,29,30,…,50}

Again, the results of the study show that EuroMillions follows the dictate of probability.

The table and the graph above reinforces the fact that the EuroMillions game is subordinate to the principle of probability.

  • 3-low-2-high is expected to appear 416 times – it occurred 468 times in the real draw.
  • 4-low-1-high is projected to appear 190 times – it appeared in 216 times in the actual draw.
  • 0-low-5-high is supposed to be drawn 32 times – it was drawn 22 times in the real draw.

As a EuroMillions player, you should pay attention to the composition of your combination and make sure that it follows either the 3-low-2-high or 2-low-3-high patterns.  And never play the rest of the low-high patterns.

History of The Game

My Million was first introduced on Tuesday 4th February 2014 to offer French players an extra chance of winning a prize when they played EuroMillions. The introduction of the game saw the price of a French EuroMillions ticket rise from €2 to €2.50.

To date there have been My Million numbers issued.

In September 2016, French players received another chance to win a guaranteed €1 million in special EuroMillions draws as the European Millionaire Maker game was introduced as part of changes to EuroMillions. My Million will continue to be offered to ticket holders in France alongside the new raffle.
