Die Lotterie Eurojackpot gibt es erst seit 2012. Die Mitgliedsländer waren zu Anfang Deutschland und Dänemark, Estland und Finnland, außerdem Italien, Slowenien und die Niederlande. Bei Europas größter Lotterie, auch EuroLotto genannt, steht das Gemeinschaftserlebnis im Mittelpunkt. Teilnehmer aus 17 europäischen Ländern spielen gemeinsam Lotto. Möglich ist dies durch die Kooperation der staatlichen Lottogesellschaften dieser Länder. Ein sehr hoher Jackpot von bis zu 90 Millionen Euro ist daher denkbar. Seit 15. September ist auch Polen Mitglied der riesigen europäischen Lottogemeinschaft.
Wie wird EuroLotto gespielt und welche Gewinne sind möglich?
Die Lotterie wird einmal wöchentlich Freitags gespielt. Sie kreuzen insgesamt sieben Zahlen an. Im A-Feld tippen Sie fünf Zahlen aus 50, im B-Feld wählen Sie zwei Zahlen aus 10 aus. Die Zahlen im B-Feld werden Eurozahlen genannt. In Deutschland kostet jeder Tipp zwei Euro, eine kleine Bearbeitungsgebühr pro Tippschein kommt hinzu. Die Höhe des realen Jackpots hängt immer von der Zahl der Mitspieler ab. Das Besondere am Eurojackpot: Für die höchste Gewinnklasse werden immer mindestens 10 Millionen Euro garantiert. Die Hälfte der Einsätze wird wieder als Gewinn an die Teilnehmer ausgeschüttet. Die Gewinnchance auf den Hauptgewinn, also Gewinnklasse/Rang I, beträgt beim Eurojackpot 1:95.344.200, für den niedrigsten Gewinn, also Gewinnklasse/Rang XII, 1:35. Jeden Freitag um 19:00 Uhr ist Annahmeschluss für die Ziehung. Sie findet in Helsinki unter Polizeiaufsicht statt.
Die Ziehung in Helsinki weicht in mehreren Punkten vom klassischen Lotto in Deutschland ab. So wird sie beispielsweise nicht im Fernsehen übertragen. Sie können die Ziehungen jedoch live auf YouTube mitverfolgen. Spieler wählen die beiden Zusatzzahlungen selbst. Beim konventionellen Lotto 6 aus 49 ist die Superzahl bereits durch den Spielschein vorgegeben. Die Eurozahlen erlauben mehr Kombinationsmöglichkeiten aller Zahlen. Die sich hieraus ergebenden 12 Gewinnränge sind für viele Spieler interessanter.
