¿Cómo se cobra un premio de Euromillones?

Los premios de Euromillones de menos de 2000 euros se pueden cobrar en cualquier Administración de Loterías. Los premios iguales o mayores a 2000 euros sólo se pueden cobrar en las siguientes entidades financieras que tienen acuerdo con Loterías y Apuestas del Estado: Abanca, Banco de Sabadell, Bankia, BBVA, Caixa Bank, Caja Sur, Cajamar, Sociedad Cooperativa de Crédito, Ibercaja, Kutxabank, Unicaja

¿Cuándo puedo cobrar un premio de Euromillones?

Cualquier premio de Euromillones se puede cobrar a partir del día siguiente del sorteo y no caduca hasta pasados tres meses de la fecha del sorteo. Los premios inferiores a dos mil euros se pueden cobrar en cualquier Administración de loterías, los superiores sólo se pueden cobrar en las correspondientes entidades financieras.

¿He de pagar a Hacienda si me toca el Euromillones?

Cuando se cobra un premio de la Euromillones no hay que pagar a Hacienda. No es que el premio sea libre de impuestos sino que a todos los premios superiores a 40.000 euros ya se les realiza una retención antes de ser abonados a los beneficiarios, por lo tanto, luego ya no se deben de pagar más impuestos. Otra cosa será los rendimientos que el beneficiario pueda obtener con sus depósitos o inversiones con el importe del premio durante los sucesivos años.

¿Cuál es el mayor premio que se puede ganar en Euromillones?

El mayor premio que se ha repartido en euromillones es de 190 MILLONES de euros. Hasta marzo de 2020 han aparecido cuatro ganadores de dicho importe, dos en Reino Unido, uno en España y uno en Portugal. El último el 8 de octubre de 2019 se repartió en Reino Unido. ¿Cómo jugar en una peña de Euromillones?

Jugando en una peña de euromillones siempre hay más probabilidades de obtener premio, básicamente porque cuántas más apuestas se juegan más probabilidades de premio. Luxembourg EuroMillions

As one of the EuroMillions participating countries, Luxembourg has its share of euro lottery exciting as well. The draw is broadcast on RTL Lux. The first EuroMillions jackpot winner appeared on September 27, 2013, scooping a € 65,793,284 win. The second one pocketed €31,666,941 on January 9, 2015. These were the only three EuroMillions jackpots won to date with tickets purchased in Luxembourg.

• A lucky ticket holder from from Schaerbeek, in the Brussels-Capital Region won the 8th largest EuroMillions jackpot to date (June 2020) – €168 Million. He preferred to remain anonymous, but the media did find out a few details about this 45-year-old father of four: he loves football, Robert De Niro films, and cooking with fish. A man of Albanian origin, he was described by his neighbors as a friendly person. He told the Belgian National Lottery officials that he would continue to play EuroMillions and that he was planning to share his win with people in need.

Spain EuroMillions & El Millón Raffle

Spain’s official lottery operator — Loteria de Apuestas is in charge of the EuroMillions draws for Spain and Andorra. Spain was one of the founding EuroMillions countries. The game is known locally under the name of EuroMillones.

• Spain is one of the top 3 luckiest EuroMillions countries in point of jackpot winners, with a number of 102 jackpots scooped as of February 2020. However,not too many stories about Spanish winners have surfaced since Spain allows its luckiest to remain anonymous. Spain is also home to one of the record jackpot winners. A lucky ticket holder from Gran Canaria pocketed €190 Million in October 2017, when a SuperDraw followed by a rollover streak made the EuroMillions jackpot reach its cap.

• Francisco Delgado Rodriguez’s story is probably the best known one. He scooped €121 Million in May 2011, and decided to make his identity public. The consequences didn’t wait to appear, and it all went down to the bankruptcy of his family business and having to leave town. However, the door of his baker became a pilgrimage place. People would come touch it in the hope this will bring them luck.

El Millón Raffle

Since September 2016, the Spanish Lottery also holds a raffle – El Millón, which distributes €1 Million prizes every Friday. The EuroMillions tickets purchased in Spain  for the draws of Tuesday and Friday get an automatic alpha-numeric code. The ticket matching the respective Friday’s winning code get the €1 Million prize. The draw can be watched live on TVE2.

France EuroMillions & My Million

France is one of the first three participating countries in the EuroMillions lottery as the official French Lottery operator – La Française des Jeux is one of the game’s founding partners. The FDJ, UK’s Camelot, and Spain’s Loterias y Apuestas del Estado joined forces back in 2004 to create a pan-European lottery that would offer bigger prizes and more exciting draws than the national lotteries. The idea itself was born long before the first EuroMillions draw – in the 90s, but it became reality only in 2004, with the participation of only three national lottery operators at first, but the EuroMillions family got bigger and bigger.

The Française des Jeux is in charge of the EuroMillions operations in France, Monaco, the overseas territories, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. In French Polynesia, the responsibility of the EuroMillions operations fall to the Pacifique des Jeux. The jackpot is also expressed in different currencies depending on the territories: euros for France and the overseas departments and CFP francs for French Polynesia.

France is also the host of the bi-weekly EuroMillions draws taking place at the National Lottery’s headquarters at Boulogne Billancourt. Since 2012, the EuroMillions draw is also broadcast on TF1.

My Million Raffle

Since February 2014, the French lottery operator Française des Jeux offers also a raffle (My Million), which makes a guaranteed millionaire with each time EuroMillions draw. All EuroMillions tickets purchased in France get printed with an alphanumeric code automatically generated by the terminal. The owner of the ticket on which the winning My Million code is printed wins €1 Million.

The Etoile+ Additional Draw

The France EuroMillions hosts a supplementary draw called Etoile+, which offers lottery players the chance to win some extra prizes. To play Etoile+, players must pay an additional €1.00 fee. Then, if they match some of the EuroMillions winning numbers and Lucky Stars, they are entitled to a proportion of the prize pool for this supplementary draw. • UK is on the same first position when it comes to how many EuroMillions jackpots the Brits scooped (104 in February 2020), but it is home to some of the biggest winners, including the famous ones such as Adrian and Gillian Bayford who took home a record amount of €190 Million in August 2012, or Colin and Chris Weir, whose cashed in €185 Million in 2011.

• The first British big win in EuroMillions happened in 2007, when a jackpot of £35 Million went to Angela Kelly, a 40-year-old former Royal Mail postal administrator.

• The UK is home to two of EuroMillions jackpot records — the €190,000,000 prizes won in October 2019 and August 2012.

• The UK is also home to one of the biggest EuroMillions lottery winning syndicate of all time – the Magnificent Seven, a group of seven Hewlett-Packard employees from Liverpool, who took home £45 Million back in 2010.

Millionaire Maker Raffle

The UK was the first EuroMillions participating country to add a raffle to the draws of the most popular lottery in Europe. The Millionaire Maker Raffle was launched in 2009, the first code being drawn on November 13 that year.

Two years later, the UK National Lottery decided to mark the holiday season with a special event called the Millionaire Month. A total of 50 millionaires were minted between November 25 and December 23, 2011, each one scooping an awesome £1 Million prize. In 2012, the same raffle had a special way of celebrating the Olympic Games in London, making 100 millionaires in one single night. This marked a new world record for the most millionaires made in one night.

On May 31, 2013, the £1 Million Every Month for a Year event took place. Instead of the prize being worth £1 Million, this draw offers one lucky player a prize of £12 Million, paid in twelve £1 Million monthly installments. In July the same year, another 100 Millionaires draw was held.

The year 2014 marked a name change, the raffle switching its name from Millionaire Raffle to Millionaire Maker, the possibility to add non-cash prizes being added. This is how the Mega Friday, currently known as the Mega Week was born.

The Mega Week Raffle

A special addition to the UK raffles, Mega Week is a special draw held in the last week of each month, on both Tuesday’s and Friday’s draws. The Mega Week adds various luxury non-cash prizes, which usually consist of exotic holidays, to the £1 Million prize delivered within the Millionaire Maker raffle on every draw. EuroMillions HotPicks

HotPicks is a supplementary game in the UK EuroMillions that takes place on both Tuesday and Friday draws. EuroMillions players can enter HotPicks to win prizes up to £1 Million. There are 5 play formats in HotPicks and each of them costs £1.50/line: Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, and Pick 5. Players can choose 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 numbers from 1 to 50 to enter the draw.

The 5 numbers in HotPicks are the main numbers in the EuroMillions, but the HotPicks prizes are separate from those in the EuroMillions. Players who choose Pick 1 must match 1 number from the 5 drawn EuroMillions numbers to win the HotPicks prize. In Portugal, the EuroMillions lottery is known as Euromilhões and is operated by Depatamento de Jogo. Draws are broadcast on TVI. Premios de Euromillones

En las normas oficiales de Euromillones publicadas por Loterías y Apuestas del Estado en diciembre de 2019 cabe destacar algunos aspectos.

• El precio total de 2,50 euros para jugar una apuesta de Euromillones se divide en dos partes. 2,20 euros se destinan a Euromillones y 0,30 euros se destinan al juego asociado de El Millón.
• Respecto al fondo de Reserva la norma 7ª del juego dice: 7ª Fondo de Reserva Del fondo para premios de cada sorteo se detraerá el porcentaje que se establece en la tabla de la norma 8.2, que generará un Fondo de Reserva’ que será destinado total o parcialmente para incrementar el importe destinado a cualquier categoría de premios en aquellos sorteos que los operadores de lotería participantes acuerden, así como para financiar los premios de cualquier promoción también acordada por los operadores de lotería.
• la norma 8.2 dice: 2. La tabla siguiente resume el mecanismo de asignación de los importes de la primera categoría y del fondo de reserva con sus valores correspondientes:
